The children of Samuel Webb (1660-1739) and Mary Graves Adams (1663-1774)
Samuel Webb was born August 6, 1660, in Braintree, Massachusetts, to Christopher Webb and Hannah (Scott) Webb. On December 16, 1686, he married Mary Graves Adams (1663-1774), daughter of Capt. Samuel Adams and Rebecca (Graves) Adams, in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The family moved to Connecticut about 1707. Samuel died February 20, 1739, and is buried in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham Co., Connecticut. Mary died December 21, 1744, and is buried as “Mary Webb” in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham Co., Connecticut.
They had five children:
1. Rebecca born September 25, 1687, in Braintree, Massachusetts. She died March 1688.
2. Samuel born May 14, 1690, in Braintree, Massachusetts. He married (1st) Hannah Bradford Ripley (1685-1751), granddaughter of Governor Bradford, October 8, 1711, in Windham, Connecticut. They had four children. He married (2nd) Elizabeth Fisk/Fish (b. 1736) May 14, 1752, in Windham, Connecticut. He moved to Vermont with his son Joseph around 1754. He died March 6, 1779, and is buried in Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery, Windham Co., Vermont.
3. Mary born November 25, 1694, in Braintree, Massachusetts. She married Amos Dodge (1690-1765) October 14, 1713, in Windham, Connecticut. They had eight children. She died in 1731 and is buried as “Mary B. Dodge” in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham Co., Connecticut.
4. Nathaniel born February 10, 1695, in Windham. He married Elizabeth Fitch as I provided in a previous post.
5. Zebulon born October 1697 in Massachusetts. He married Judith Howard (1707-1750) December 19, 1722, in Windham, Connecticut. They had 12 children. He died May 10, 1760. His wife is buried in Ellington Center Cemetery, Tolland Co., Connecticut. No inscriptions have been found on a stone for him in Ellington Cemetery, Windham Center Cemetery, or any cemetery in Scotland, Connecticut (all cemeteries where he has been speculated to be buried). His son Zebulon Jr. died the same year, meaning that some documents overlap, causing confusion between the two and their locations.
