Vital records from Windham, Connecticut, for the Jacob Lincoln (1696-1765) family

I’m working on an extension of my Lincoln chapter in vol. 1 of My Lineage from the Roots Up. In doing so, I’ve been using transcriptions of the vital records in Connecticut (Barbour Collection) and church abstracts. Below is a snapshot of this family based on the Windham vital records.

Jacob Lincoln, son of Samuel and Elizabeth, born May 10, 1696, in Windham, Connecticut. He married Abigail Mason April 28, 1736. He died in 1765 in Windham.

Jacob, son of Jacob and Abigail, born January 31, 1737. Jacob Jr. married Abigail Carter January 23, 1758. He died April 21, 1760, in Windham.

Luther, son of Jacob Jr. and Abigail, born December 21, 1758, in Windham.

Daniel, son of Jacob and Abigail, born August 31, 1738, in Windham. He married Mary Preston June 22, 1763, in Windham. Daniel, father of Jacob, died August 1808 n Windham.

Lemuel, son of Daniel and Mary, born August 21, 1763, in Windham.

Jacob, son of Daniel and Mary, born April 8, 1765. He died December 31, 1766, in Windham.

Jacob, son of Daniel and Mary, born July 26, 1767, in Windham. Jacob married (1^st) Elizabeth Scott March 12, 1797, in Windham and (2^nd) Betsey Cannada November 26, 1805, in Windham. Elizabeth, wife of Jacob, died December 24, 1804, in Windham.

Prudence, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth, born December 18, 1797, in Windham.

Julia, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth, born June 12, 1799, in Windham.

Sophia, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth, born January 20, 1801, in Windham. She married Ira Prester January 22, 1850, in Windham.

Daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth [sp? Pubuah], born January 7, 1803 and died October 1 in Windham.

Elizabeth Scott, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth, born June 19, 1804. She died February 19, 1805, in Windham.

Betsey Cannada, daughter of Jacob and Betsey, born August 15, 1808, in Windham.

Jonathan, son of Daniel and Mary, born September 21, 1769, in Windham.

Leonard, son of Daniel and Mary, born March 22, 1772, in Windham.

Hannah, daughter of Daniel and Mary, born June 10, 1774, in Windham. 

Abigail, daughter of Jacob and Abigail, born June 22, 1741, in Windham. She married George Aim July 6, 1770, in Windham.

Susannah, daughter of George and Abigail [Aim], born December 2, 1770, in Windham.

Ortman, son of George and Abigail [Aim], born October 8, 1772, in Windham.

Joseph, son of Jacob and Abigail, born June 24, 1743. He died May 25, 1752, in Windham.

Nathan, son of Jacob and Abigail, born May 11, 1746, in Windham.

Hezekiah, son of Jacob and Abigail, born May 7, 1748, in Windham. He married Hannah Simons (b. 1752) February 6, 1771.

Ann, daughter of Jacob and Abigail, born April 24, 1750, and died a month later (May 16) in Windham.

Elijah, son of Jacob and Abigail, born January 23, 1752, in Windham.

Ann, daughter of Jacob and Abigail, born January 26, 1756, in Windham.

This, of course, isn’t everything known for this family. But quite a lot is found in the vital records alone.
