John Lincoln was born July 28, 1726, in Windham, Connecticut, to Samuel Lincoln and Ruth (Huntington) Lincoln. He was a Private in Capt. Nathaniel Hale’s company in Col. Jeremiah Mason’s regiment of Connecticut during the Revolutionary War (NSDAR #A070431).
He married (1st) Rebecca Fenton (d. 1758) in 1753. They had at least one child, and another who died young:
1. John (Jr.) born April 10, 1754, in Windham, Connecticut. He married Mary Millard (1754-1790) July 9, 1782, in Windham. He died May 25, 1835, in Connecticut.
John (Sr.) married (2nd) Anna (Martin) Stowell May 30, 1758, in Windham Co., Connecticut. They had at least four children:
1. Hannah born January 21, 1759, in Windham, Connecticut. She married Cyprian Parish (1751-1830) presumably around 1780. She died December 13, 1842, in Hampshire Co., Massachusetts, and is buried as “Hannah Wife of Cyprian Parish” in Worthington Center Cemetery, Worthington, Massachusetts.
2. Jonah born November 15, 1760, in Windham, Connecticut. He married Lucy Webb May 1, 1783, in Scotland, Connecticut. He died May 14, 1845, in Windham, Connecticut, and is buried in North Windham Cemetery.
3. Jerusha (Jonah’s twin sister) born November 15, 1760, in Windham, Connecticut. She married Nathaniel Ford Martin (1759-1847) December 1, 1783, in Hampton, Connecticut. She died January 26, 1838, in Windham Co., Connecticut, and is buried as “Jerusha Wife of Nathl.F.Martin Esq.” in North Cemetery, Hampton, Connecticut.
4. Olive born June 24, 1763 (baptized May 6, 1764, Hampton, Connecticut). She married Amos Clark, Jr. (1759-1844) January 27, 1785, in Hampton, Connecticut. He made it to rank of Corporal in Connecticut Continental service. She died March 29, 1814, in Windham Co., Connecticut, and is buried as “Olive Clark” in North Cemetery, Hampton, Connecticut.
John died June 7, 1810, in Pomfret, Connecticut, and is buried in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham, Connecticut.
