If you do genealogy and lineage work that leads you to 14th century England, specifically the reign of Edward II and Queen Isabella, Medieval historian Kathryn Warner has a blog that may interest you.

It is simply called Edward II.

She has written books on Edward II and his friends the Despensers, but also blogs about various people with whom Edward surrounded himself and his children.

You may also find information in George E. Cokayne’s The Complete Peerage volumes, which are generally available on the Internet Archive. I’ve had luck in volumes 4 and 11, but it depends on which family you are looking for.

The Archive also has the volumes of Collinsons’ Peerage of England because it was digitized by Google. If you need some help on how to use the Google Books options, here’s one way.

British History Online offers the Calendar of Inquistions Post Mortem, with the time of Edward II in volumes 5 and 6. That site also has transcriptions of books on the descendency of manors based on the county that may be helpful. Browse their catalog to find more specific information.

I hope these resources help - happy searching!
