In January, I wrote an article on Medium that turned out to be a bit controversial - I received criticisms on both the writing site and the Lineage Research Space on Quora where I discussed it in a response to someone’s question. When you grow up being told that you’re related to a famous historical figure, it can be difficult to understand why some nobody is writing about how it isn’t true. But I had years of research by numerous other genealogists that I relied on for the material and I stand by their findings. It’s a hill I’m choosing to shout from over and over again, regardless of the disagreement it may get.

I’m putting it here, in its entirety, for subscribers. Or you can read it here.
