Last month’s paid post was a mini-biography of my grandmother.
I mentioned in her story that she did a lot of volunteer work when she lived in New York City. While going through my late aunt’s stash of photos and newspaper clippings last year, I found quite a bit involving this side of my grandmother’s life. So this month’s behind the paywall will be the available photos, news clippings, and my remembrances of my grandmother’s life of service. She was enthusiastic about her community and her country, working towards a better world for everyone - especially those who couldn’t rally for themselves, the children.
